Whidbey to Port Townsend…life on an island

Wednesday, July 13th, 2011

Western Washington is a curious mix’ forests, farms, cute villages, drawbridges, ferries, and water everywhere and islands to spare!  It also has friends with history- Jan and Tim Whyte were some of the first folk to welcome us to Poway. And their daughter Laura was on of KC”s first babysitters….they all live in Port Townsend.  They have down-sized and are nestled in the trees with deer for neighbors. What wonderful hospitality and how well they fit into this Pacific northwest laidback lifestyle. Awesome salmon, rainier cherries, local brew and a GREAT finish to this tale………..but no moose:(
