Lake San Marcos Honors
Friday, February 20th, 2009A delightful reception was held last Sunday, Feb. 15, to honor Debbie Morales as she “retires” from her position as Choir Director/ Organist. LaNay Kitzing sang a gorgeous solo ,”God will Make a Way” as an extra special treat. Many of the congregation brought cards with touching notes of appreciation. A HUGE cake was enjoyed by all. This coming Sunday, Feb. 22, will be her last at this church and the last of 7 churches she has served over the last 46 years. Debbie hopes to sing a solo ,”Thank You for Giving to the Lord”, as a special tribute to this unique and loving congregation. (taking bets if she can contain the tears)
winter comes to shoal summit
Tuesday, February 10th, 2009Rain,Hail,Wind and lots of baby golf balls pelted the Morales home on Saturday, just prior to the big birthday party of Miss Abigail Grace Morales. The weather did not dampen the festivities, tho’ the guest of honor was in shell-shock over the shindig. The hail did not melt for over an hour, and came down with such force as to knock alot of stucco off the house.
anticipation II
Saturday, February 7th, 2009As things are coming together and a lifetime of wishes and dreams are about to come to fruition, we were notified that BOTH our Dads are facing a health crisis. George got blood work back that indicated the kidneys are getting tired and on Sunday we are being interviewed by Hospice. And Joe, didn’t let us know that he was in the Hospital since Monday. They have drained his chest cavity and loosened stuff in his lungs, but they have found a mass in his lungs and will find out more next week. Are we facing the beginning of the end x2?? How does this impact a trip of a lifetime??? this calls for a big shot of wisdom…back to the knees.
